Roderick Carlson

Rod is a Member and Registered Professional Geologist in Mineral Exploration and Mining with the AIG and a Member of The AusIMM. Rod is a principal geologist with extensive management and consulting experience, and is experienced in areas including resource evaluation and audit, mine to mill reconciliation, geochemistry, drilling interpretation, and regolith mapping. Rod is the current chair of the Queensland AIG State Branch. With significant project management and peer review experience, Rod has worked across numerous commodities including gold, copper, bauxite, platinum, and coal. He has extensive international experience, having worked on projects in Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Colombia, Botswana, Burkina Faso, and Oman. Rod has also conducted industry-training programmes in areas including geology for non-geologists, practical sampling, QA/QC, grade control, geostatistics, and reconciliation. He has generated resource reports to JORC Code and NI 43-101 standards.
Roderick is contributing to the development and delivery of Modules 1, 3 and 5.

Andrew Hall

Andrew has over 20 years of mining and project management experience. His expertise is predominantly in feasibility study assessment, technical due diligence, and business improvement in underground and open pit metalliferous mining. Andrew has managed numerous scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies world-wide, and overseen the preparation of public reports and performed the role of Qualified/Competent Person for Mineral/Ore Reserves in accordance with the requirements of NI43-101 and JORC.
Andrew will be a joint presenter for Module 3.

Peter McCarthy

Chairman Emeritus, AMC Principal Mining Consultant
Peter’s primary technical expertise is in mine planning, feasibility studies, technical assessments, and valuations. His broad experience within the mining industry includes management, education, project development, mine production, and contracting. Peter has a breadth of experience in the Australian and international mining business that is hard to equal. Peter is a past President of the AusIMM and a former member of the JORC Committee.
Peter is contributing to the development of Modules 1, 3 and 5.

Peter Stoker

Peter is a geologist with experience in mine geology, mineral resource and ore reserve estimation, feasibility studies, project evaluation, mineral exploration and public reporting. Peter is an Honorary Fellow of The AusIMM and a Chartered Professional (CP) in geology. Peter is an Honorary Member of China Mining Association. He is the deputy chairman of the Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC), was Chairman from 2005 to 2014, and Secretary from 1999 to 2005. He is a JORC representative on the Committee for Mineral Reserves International Reporting Standards (CRIRSCO). Peter was a contributor and member of the steering committee for Monograph 23 “Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves Estimation – The AusIMM Guide to Good Practice” and the second edition, Monograph 30. He has written papers on Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve estimation, classification, exploration research, and practice. Peter was chair of The AusIMM’s Geoscience Taskforce, an AusIMM Councillor, branch chairman, and secretary. Peter has conducted numerous training sessions on JORC reporting and related issues in Australasia, China, Russia, Indonesia, and Philippines.
Peter is contributing to the development and delivery of Modules 1, 3 and 5.

Glen Williamson

AMC Principal Mining Engineer
Glen has over 30 years of experience in the mining industry in a range of commodities, and in roles ranging from mine planning, operations management, technical management, feasibility studies, due diligence reviews, and ore reserve estimation and reporting. He has worked for mining companies, mining contractors and in consulting. Glen has worked on open pit iron ore, manganese, coal, nickel laterite, bauxite, phosphate, potash, precious metals, and base metals projects throughout Australia, the Pacific region, south east Asia, South America, Africa, Russia, and Kazakhstan, including nickel laterite projects in PNG and Indonesia.
Glen will be a joint presenter for Module 5.
